The Home
Marsden Grange enjoys an elegant and homely atmosphere with the sitting rooms and conservatory enjoying peaceful views onto the lawned garden. All facilities have been thoroughly modernised to provide the maximum of comfort. A high standard of Care is provided and our Managers will be available to ensure that each resident achieves the maximum benefit during their stay at Marsden Grange.
We are pleased to welcome both ladies and gentlemen into the Home either on a long or short term basis. Accommodation is available in single or shared rooms, many with en-suite facilities. Television is available if required and private telephone lines can be arranged through B.T. Every room contains a call switch for the residents to summon assistance, if required at any time, day or night.
Some of our bedrooms are situated on the ground floor for residents who have difficulty in walking, but a chair lift enables easy access to the other bedrooms on the first floor. Residents are welcome to furnish their rooms with their own possessions as appropriate. Residents may come and go as they please, although they must inform Staff before leaving the Home, for reasons of Fire safety. Independence is encouraged as much as possible.
Staff and Registration
Our Care Assistants provide a high level of care to exacting standards and are fully trained in accordance with our stated objectives in the Marsden Grange "QUALITY POLICY". Staff are trained to N.V.Q level 2 and 3 as well as Health and Social Care Diplomas and are subject to disclosure procedures via the Criminal Records Bureau. The Home is Registered by the Care Quality Commission under the Care Standards Act 2000. Not only does the Home comply with the strict regulations of the County Council, but also with the Environmental Health and Fire Services Departments. |
Activities
We have an activities co-ordinator who arranges a calendar of events, some of which include discussion groups, movement to music and other quieter activities such as dominoes, video afternoons and arts and crafts. She also arranges outside organisations to visit and provide library books, clothes parties, church services and a variety of entertainments. We are always delighted if relatives and friends of residents will join us on any of our social occasions. |
Gardens
There are large well kept private gardens to the front and rear of the Home, with patios and walkways, for residents and their visitors to enjoy. SecurityResidents are responsible for the safe keeping of their personal valuables, all rooms are secure and in addition, a drawer in each bedroom will have a lock and key. If requested small amounts of money will be kept in safe keeping by the Manager. |
