INTRODUCTIONThe
Home occupies a fully modernised Lancashire Country House, providing accommodation
for 24 residents and is registered with Lancashire County Council as a Preferred
Provider. There is a large conservatory and private garden where people, depending
on the weather, may enjoy a leisurely lunch or afternoon tea or sit and enjoy
the flowers. In order that residents may receive the highest standard of
care and attention, we operate a Key Worker System. Generally speaking, once a
potential resident and/or relative, have visited the home and decided to give
consideration to a trial stay, Mrs Littlewood will meet the resident in his or
her own home. With a friendly face to recognise, entering the Home need not be
such a daunting prospect. Mrs Littlewood will be on hand to offer an early welcome
and to introduce the new resident to other members of the Home. Personal appointments
will be made for an individual for the chiropodist, hairdresser and optician,
medical attention, if required is provided by the local Doctor of their choice. Once
residents have settled into the Home, a detailed assessment is carried out to
provide for physical, emotional and spiritual needs as well as social requirements. Our
Social Diary offers people the chance to follow up their interests and hobbies
from within the Home, we also arrange shopping trips, days out to the seaside
and local countryside in our own vehicles, also concerts in the Home. We provide
entertainment for all occasions, again both in-house and via external trips. Our
fees depend upon the level of care that a person may require and can start from
£286.00 per week, paid in advance. We have 12 single rooms and 6 shared,
all with hand basins and some with en-suite toilet. A balanced and nutritional
menu with choices is provided. We would be delighted to show you around
the Home so that you may see for yourself the high standards of care and attention
we provide and you may like to talk to some of our residents or our Manager, Mrs
Finch. You may ring for an appointment to visit us, but if preferred, Mrs Littlewood
will visit you at your home. If you would jut like to pop in unannounced, we would
be only too pleased to see you. |
